It is our rivers, seas and oceans that make the planet appear blue when viewed from above by astronauts during space travel. But, unfortunately, only a small part of this total can be used for human consumption: around 0.77%. It is a natural asset that needs to be preserved.
WATER REUSE
Here at Cattegran we value the conscious use of this important natural resource and, therefore, we have been doing our part for about 4 years. All the water we use in our own Branco Siena quarry is stored to be reused in procedures such as drilling granite, cutting with diamond wire and washing blocks, in addition to cleaning machines and equipment.
Thanks to this reuse system, we managed to save around 20,000 liters of water per day in our quarry here in the north of Espírito Santo. In this way, we reduce the impact on nature so that we can continue to take advantage of this asset that is so important for human survival.
